ForestPaths at IUFRO 2024: Call for congress abstracts

12 May 2023

The call for abstracts is now closed.

The IUFRO World Congress 2024 – one of the largest global forest events – is inviting submissions of abstracts for its conference in Stockholm (23-29 June 2024). The theme is "Forests & Society Towards 2050," focusing on forestry and climate in connection to societal development towards 2050.

This theme aligns with ForestPaths’ overall objective to help meet climate targets by providing holistic forest-based policy pathways for climate change mitigation. The project will thus be engaged in three IUFRO 2024 sessions:

T1.4 Climate Smart Forestry

This session invites speakers from various parts of the world and from various disciplines to present their scientific and applied experiences and discuss the results.

T5.22 Modelling forest trajectories under climate stress and changing management

This session will bring together forest modellers from across the spectrum of empirical to process-based traditions, along with key stakeholders, to share experiences, approaches and needs.

T5.34 The new age of forest monitoring: A common European forest monitoring system in a global perspective

This session is organised by the coordinators of several European projects such as ForestPaths, PathFinder, ForestNavigator, Forwards and eco2adapt

Submit your abstract by 15 June 2023 and join us to discuss the important role of forests and collaborate towards a sustainable future!
