How can we meet EU targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and become climate neutral by 2050? The newly-funded project ForestPaths coordinated by the European Forest Institute has a plan. And with the month of September upon us, the project's plan is now officially in action.

ForestPaths will work on forest-based policy pathways optimising forests' contribution to climate change mitigation while conserving biodiversity and sustaining ecosystem services. Engaging practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders, ForestPaths will apply an all-round assessment of the climate mitigation potential of European forests and the forest-based sector.
